Designing
High-Quality Paper and Pencil Tests is a must for schools and
divisions interested in learning how to design and use high-quality
assessments for the classroom or the district. We'll introduce participants
to the different types of items in a paper and pencil test: multiple
choice, true/false, matching, completion, constructed response,
and essay. Participants leave knowing the features of a high-quality
test. More importantly, participants will also have the skill of
looking at items that are not yet high quality and know what to
do to make them better!
In addition
to learning about how to design high-quality assessments, we'll
share the importance aligning assessments to the district curriculum.
We'll also reinforce the importance of format practice for students
and the notion that the best way to provide format practice is when
you're assessing students during the regular course of instruction.
This is a terrific
workshop if you want your staff to design high quality assessments
for students.
